Villa D'este: Piano

Villa D'este: Piano

This is drawn on a beautiful day like today in Tivoli, Italy. This is in the garden at the Home of Cardinal d'Este, designed by architect Pirro Ligorio in the 16th C. These steps were drawn in reference to the beautiful sound of a piano playing in the background filling the fresh italian air. Being that Piano translated in italian is soft, I believe the chalk pastel captures the softness of the day.
